WITH LUNCH AND TOUR
This is a three and a half hour, unique leisure package of sightseeing, culture, history, exercise, refreshment and entertainment. Starting with a walking tour in Prague's New Town area you will see the grandiose and imposing National Museum which dominates the top of Wenceslas Square where many momentous occasions throughout Czech history have been played out. You will see sights such as the Theatre of the Estates where Mozart's Amadeus was first performed, the spectacular, fairy tale-like architecture of the Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock before walking down the trendy, tree-lined Parizska Street with its up-market shops, and on past the Jewish quarter to the Vltava River, here you will board the boat for the river cruise part of the tour.
On the Prague cruise with lunch there will be a full buffet-style lunch of hot and cold foods accompanied by live music waiting for you on your arrival. As you take advantage of the refreshments available on board, your air-conditioned boat embarks on a two-hour journey where you will be able to admire spectacular panoramic views from this unique, river-level, vantage point. As the cruise begins to negotiate the many bridges, worries and stress fade away as you enjoy (perhaps with a drink in hand?) a swan's-eye-view of the breathtaking skyline of majestic Castle and St. Vitus' Cathedral and surrounds coming into view. As you continue your journey up river your senses will be further enchanted by the green cupola of the beautiful, baroque St. Nicholas Church towering over the orange-tiled roofs of the Lesser Town area nestled below the protective embrace of the Castle perched on the heights above you.
Further along the route of the Cruise the world-famous, statue-lined, Charles Bridge looms into full sight. Passing under its graceful stone arches take time to look up, ponder and marvel at the construction of this 14th century, architectural masterpiece. The cruise then continues through the river's lock gates and up river to provide stunning views of the impressive architecture of the National Museum with its golden roof as well as leafy Petrin Hill and the Strahovske Monastery. As the cruise continues further up river the view of Vysehrad Castle looming precariously on the edge of a sheer, rock-faced cliff high above the river is an awesome sight to behold. Finally, the Intercontinental Hotel on the embankment of the Vltava River, and just a short walk from the Old Town Square, is where the Prague cruise with lunch and music ends. The tour comes in a choice of standard languages which are English, German, Russian, French, Italian, Spanish and Czech, you should let us know which language you prefer when booking.
